JYJ Flavor is Good!
When it comes to R&B flavored pop JYJ is seriously all that. While in my heart of hearts I am one of the many who long to see TVXQ5 find their way back together I can't help but celebrate the experience of JYJ. I am even a little more into 'Music Essay' than I was into 'the Beginning' and boy is that saying a lot (lol). With 'the Beginning' my ear definitely had favorite songs with this ('Music Essay') I just punch repeat all and let it flow.
As an aside though I can't help but think that JYJ and TVXQ are each bringing the other so much attention --and perhaps even creating a little healthy competition-- that they will elevate each other until one day they naturally re-merge. Stay positive everyone! and AKTF.

If I do say so myself, Changmin's high notes are really light but deep, his vocal is very nice. He should have earnestly practised this one year in order to vocalize that voice. I get stimulated by those whose performances have clearly become better. On the other hand, I do not feel anything for those who have been good performers from before, but have not changed ever since.

[Trans] 110219 SM’s Court Verdict Refutation Unleashes A Flood Of Criticism From The Public
On the 17th, the Seoul District Courts dismissed both the formal objection and exclusive contract suspension injunction filed by SM Entertainment against JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu).
Regarding this, SM Entertainment immediately released a refutation document stating, “SM and JYJ’s legal battle is still not over,” and “The decision laid down by the Courts on the 17th was made only with regards to the injunction; it does not mean that the exclusive contract between SM and JYJ is invalid.” They continued to add, “We are currently involved in the trial on this issue and a witness examination date has been set for mid-March. We will use only the objective truth and facts to prove the validity of the exclusive contract.”

Junsu’s “Tears of Heaven” Receives Favorable Reviews From War Veterans
At 8pm on February 22nd, 30 Vietnam War veterans and their wives came to see the musical “Tears of Heaven” in Haeorum Seoul National Theatre and was moved to tears. The current KEPCO KDN President Jun DoBong (the previous commander of the Marine Corps), who served during the Vietnam War, was also present on this day.
The war veterans lavishly applauded the performance, stating that “we were moved to tears by the characters’ ardent love for each other and the story which realistically portrayed the Vietnam War period.” The heart aching love story born during the war had successfully won the sympathy of the audience.
President Jun DoBong revealed, “because I am part of the generation that directly experienced the Vietnam War, the musical affects me in a unique way. I was surprised by how similar the story’s background and the main character “Jun’s” situation was to my own. The musical touched the emotions that were deeply buried in my heart and moved me endlessly.”

TVXQ boys talk about dating on "Quiz to Change the World"
TVXQ’s Changmin revealed that it has been 10 months since he last went on a date.
He appeared with fellow member Yunho on the February 26th episode of MBC’s “Quiz to Change the World“, and elaborated that he was at an age where he’d like to go on dates.
Park Yoohwan “Park Yoochun Is A Fatherly Brother, I’m Proud Of Him”
Park Yoohwan said that his brother Park Yoochun is “A fatherly brother.”
Though he has made his debut as an actor, Park Yoohwan is more well known as Park Yoochun’s younger brother. News articles and interviews being released about him all include references to Park Yoochun. Though it wouldn’t have been surprising if Park Yoohwan felt a little disappointed by this, he smiled brightly and said, “I am proud of the fact that Park Yoochun is my older brother.“
Park Yoochun is five years older than his younger brother. Park Yoohwan said, “During my childhood, I lived in Virginia with my family. We were the only Asian people in our area. Singer and actor Park Yoochun has been under review to star in MBC TV Drama ‘Goodbye Miss Ripley’
Park Yoochun’s representative from his agency CJeS Entertainment Baek Chang Ju said on a phone call with TV Daily, “We have only met for casts review. Nothing is yet confirmed by now. The result will be determined after a careful examination.”
According to representative Baek, currently there are two dramas that are lining up asking for Park Yoochun’s appearance. Park Yoochun has been enjoying an immense popularity ever since his acting debut in KBS 2TV drama ‘SungKyunKwan Scandal’ last year.

Fans-Created JYJ Internet Radio Station Will Hit First Airing on March 3rd ..
Internet radio station that is built by JYJ fans is already finalized and will start its first airing on March 3rd in the country.According to an official of this JYJ internet radio station dedicated to broadcast JYJ’s songs, the radio is going to be active on coming March 3rd at 8 pm for more than two hours long.
In commemoration of the first airing, each day in the one week special will be decorated with moment of celebration footages of Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu’s friends from various fields such as comedian, actors, broadcasters, singers, and musical actors. A fanmade music video containing JYJ-related pictures that were sent from fans world-wide will also be released.
After the first broadcast episode, the radio station is scheduled to operate for 1 hour and can be accessed from many different countries.
This JYJ broadcast network is established as private broadcast station dedicated to JYJ by fans, for around a while fans have worked together to promote the website as well as recruit all staffs needed to run an internet radio including web designer, DJ, and writers from all over the country.
Due to conflicts with former agency SM Entertainment, JYJ’s broadcasting activities have been pretty much disrupted, leaving some fans in concern. This ‘fanmade’ internet radio station is indeed an example that shows huge influence of a powerful fanbase that surprised the officials.

Aside from program representatives, the recording was completely closed off and sealed in order to prevent content leakage. Although their appearance was previously dismissed as rumors, TVXQ completed their appearance with only the necessary staff members present.
Because Yunho already has a close friendship with MC Kang Ho Dong, the recording was said to have taken in a comfortable atmosphere. Topics discussed ranged from the crises their group faced for the past two years, the leave of the other members, as well as the appearance of discord between them and the other members while preparing for their comeback.

Upcoming Taiwanese dramas starring Korean celebrities ...
Another upcoming drama, "Extravagant Challenge," the drama adaptation of manga "Skip Beat," has gone through some casting change. It originally starred Ariel Lin alongisde Taiwanese celebrities Jerry Yan and Joe Cheng, but was later changed to Super Junior's Choi Siwon and Lee Donghae. After two years in development, the drama will recommence filming in the April, and it's female lead will now be Ivy Chen since Ariel Lin dropped the project, and co-starring alongside her will be the two Super Junior members.

Part Yoohwan 'Park Yoochun Even Spoke in The SungKyunKwan Scholar Dialect at Home"
Park Yoohwan began taking acting lessons at the same time as his brother, JYJ's Park Yoochun.
Last year, Park Yoochun began taking acting lessons for his role in the drama 'SungKyunKwan Scandal' and Park Yoohwan decided to tag along and learn with him. Park Yoohwan said, "My brother was overflowing with confidence because he's experienced when it comes to tv appearances. But I didn't even know what Cameras 1, 2, and 3 were. I couldn't do anything because I was so nervous."
Though they had the same start, Park Yoochun almost immediately became Lee Seon Joon of 'SungKyunKwan Scandal'. The drama received great reviews and captured the hearts of many women. Park Yoochun seemed to have taken a liking to his character as he even spoke in a historical dialect at home. Park Yoohwan explained that, "My brother would even speak in a historical dialect at home as if he was Lee Seon Joon. He even acted like he was the real Lee Seon Joon of the Joseon Dynasty. Group JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu)’s first official fan meeting ‘A Sweet White Day Date’ which is scheduled to be held on March 12th at Seoul Jamsil Stadium, is reported to sold out all its tickets in within 15 minutes.
The group’s current agency CJeS Entertainment opened the ticket sales on last March 24th and fans had flocked the site ever since, swept all tickets away in only 15 minutes time, yet proving another massive ticket power of the three member-ed group.
‘A Sweet White Day Date’ will have ‘Encounter’, ‘Attraction’, ‘Intimacy’, and ‘Confession’ themes where fans are expected to interact directly with the three members. Increasing even more anticipation, the fan meeting has special stages been prepared as well, including solo stage of each member and special performances of JYJ with their personally invited guests.

The trio is planning to resume their overseas promotions in April by hosting the ‘JYJ World Tour Concert in 2011‘, which will visit five Asian countries and five North American cities. Resuming promotions for their album, “The Beginning“, the boys will hold concerts in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, New York, L.A., Washington D.C., San Francisco, and Canada.

Jaejoong and Yamapi working together in the future?
Yamapi is a member of NEWS, one of Japan’s biggest pop groups, and he’s contracted under Johnny’s Entertainment, Japan’s largest agency. He’s currently visiting Korea to promote his solo album, “SUPERGOOD, SUPERBAD“, and recently performed “Party Don’t Stop” on Mnet’s ”M! Countdown“.
He first gained recognition in Korea through his role in “Code Blue“, a Japanese medical drama that enjoyed a great deal of popularity both at home and abroad. Gauging his growing popularity in Korea, Mnet Media and Johnny’s were in talks about potentially debuting Yamapi. Indeed, both parties were gratified to learn that he was greeted by over 200 fans at the airport when he flew in a few days ago.
When asked about his popularity, Yamapi gave a shy laugh and said, “It’s awkward for me to talk about my popularity with my own mouth. My goal is just to work hard and receive the fans’ love.”
Yamapi also promised fans that he’d “study Korean hard” so that he could create a full Korean album soon.

"ELLE" to Release Additional Copies of JYJ's Jaejoong's Photo Spread
Fashion magazine ELLE has announced that they will be producing additional copies of their March issue, thanks to Jaejoong’s sexy photo spread.Fans felt their hearts flutter at the unique concept Jaejoong donned for the new photo spread, for which he portrays a beautiful assassin. But that’s not all – ‘ELLE’ also included an in-depth interview with the star, who discussed his personal insecurity issues and his hopes for the future.
An excerpt from the interview reads: “During the beginning of our overseas advancement, I didn’t have much confidence in myself and couldn’t shake hands with people at the airport properly. Moreover, I even hid behind the other members.”
Jaejoong also expressed his gratitude for the unchanging love from the fans, “I think the Asian fans received good impressions of our image, singing and performances, which is why they think nicely of us.”
He continued, “When we were younger, we were always daring to show a stronger and more masculine side to us, but now, we think we need to show a more composed image.”

1. Fan goods
In order to fundraise for our surprise project for JYJ, Smile!JYJ will be selling concert packs consisting of the following items:
- Red light stick
- Heart-shaped fan (PVC, red with white wording)

The proceeds for the sale of the concert packs will go to providing all fans with finger lights (white in colour) to be used at the concert as part of the surprise. These will be given free of charge.

2. Surprise for JYJ
As mentioned above, the purpose of selling the fan goods is because we intend to surprise JYJ with a lightstick event. Previously, during their SG Showcase last year, SGTVXQ along with participating fansites like Tohosomnia, SKITH Singapore, Shades Of Jae’d, SharingYoochun, OneTVXQ & SG Cassiopeia Forums (Facebook) did an extremely successful ‘W’ Light stick Project.
This surprise will be along the same vein, utilizing white finger lights this time. We’re confident that with more fan sites working together, we can do a larger scale surprise. The exact instruction for the finger lights surprise will be announced on a later date.
3. Charity
Smile!JYJ will also be taking a leaf out of JYJ’s book and any excess funds that we collect from the sale of fan goods will be donated to the Singapore Red Cross Society, in aid of the awesome international and local humanitarian work that they do, so please donate generously! The donation will be made in JYJ’s name.
This will be communicated to C-JeS so that JYJ are informed as well and the donation receipt will be posted once the entire project has concluded.
4. Translation of ticketing information
As part of a service to the international fans, Smile!JYJ will also translate the final ticketing information that F&D releases. This information will be translated into Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Malay and Thai by our own translators.
Please note that this is in no way related to F&D. It is simply an additional service that the 6 sites have decided to come together to do, for the benefit of our non-English speaking friends in fandom

Following singer Jay Park’s recent statement of apology towards JYP Entertainment and his former 2PM bandmates, the Korean Popular Culture Industry came forth to reveal that the two parties have finally solved past troubles and disputes between each other, and associates of the industry agreed to help Jay feature on future broadcasts.
On February 23rd, the industry’s associates released an official document regarding this matter, which stated:
“Even though former 2PM member Park Jaebum disappointed those who cared for him with his past mistakes, he is now with a new family and is beginning his celebrity activities as a solo artist. MANILA, Philippines - A few years ago, after joining a Mexican cruise with my family and learning that a sleepy Mexican town (Puerto Vallarta) became an instant blazing tourism destination when a Hollywood movie starring Richard Burton, then married to Elizabeth Taylor, was shot there, I wrote an article strongly urging our government to look into how we could attract foreign filmmakers to shoot their movies in the Philippines. In South Korea, the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) offers fantastic special deals for filmmakers who want to shoot in Korea, especially showcasing tourist attractions. For this reason, South Korea has become a favorite for international filmmakers like Vishesh Films of India (this country has the largest film industry in the world in terms of number of films produced and released each year) and consequently saw the upsurge of visitors to Korea.
But in addition to foreign movies filmed there, the meteoric rise in the number of international tourists in Korea has also been strongly attributed to Korean telenovelas. In an international convention of lawyers I attended late last year in this Asian nation, I was astonished to learn that Korean telenovelas are a hit not only among us Filipinos but people of all races. (I had always thought that it was the strong presence of Koreans in the Philippines that brought about this extraordinary phenomenon among Filipino viewers; how wrong I was!)
A Japanese delegate shared that wives of top government officials spend most of their vacations in South Korea because they are so enamoured of the tourist spots featured in Korean dramas. This same delegate expounded that even ordinary housewives would bring their teenage children (as young as 16!) to South Korea for plastic surgery as birthday gifts, inspired by the beauty of Korean actors (male and female!) who reportedly have been surgically enhanced. My Malaysian friend Sarah Huang says she and her mother never miss any show of their favorite Korean drama series. I heard the same from our Taiwanese, Chinese, Indonesian, African, Sri Lankan and even Russian friends!
