****************************************************************************
"Once we performed with TVXQ in japan, TVXQ's popularity is no joke, and later we felt like we were involved as a guest on TVXQ concert."
- B2ST"
Dong Bang Shin Ki is our role model. We think that Dong Bang Shin Ki is the best idol. We learn a lot of things from them."
- In Jun (DGNA)
"TVXQ is like a giant mountain that casts a giant shadow, and rather than crossing over that mountain, I wish that our group would be right behind them."
- Hyonmin (DGNA)
"All of us watched TVXQ as we grew up, and have had the dream to become singers some day. TVXQ is more than just an idol group. We don't know if we'll be able to sing and dance like them. Whenever we see them, we realize that we have a long way until we can try to be close to them."
- Jay (DGNA)
"It is all thanks to our seniors TVXQ that we're getting so much love from Japan. It should be known that TVXQ changed the Japanese perception of Korean idol groups and because of this, it has become easier to debut in Japan because the people there now pay more attention to K-pop."
- Supernova
"When I dreamt about becoming a singer, I always wanted to make my debut overseas just like our senior singers Rain and TVXQ. They worked really hard overseas and I wanted to follow their footsteps."
- Hoya (Infinite)
"I want to first start off by saying thank you to the senior singers who have made their debut in the country and have led the way for us. I heard of how TVXQ had a hard time performing in the country at first but because they did such a great job, we were able to successfully wrap up our showcase."
- Woohyun (Infinite)"
It's not because of the song. I think, Singer should sing well, They (DBSK) sing well. "
- Youngmin (Boyfriend)
"We all like TVXQ and Bigbang" - NU'EST"I like the powerful stages by seniors TVXQ, they are full of energy. We should hope to showcase such powerful images."
- Baekho (NU'EST)
[Q: who's your fav artist?] "DBSK. If you ask why? Because It's DBSK."
- JR (NU'EST)
"DBSK sunbaenim is the best. They're no longer an Idol Star, But I really enjoy sunbaenim's songs when I'm doing my activities."
- Aron (NU'EST)
"When I was younger, I wasn't really in the know about idols or singers, but the first idol group I ever got into was TVXQ. Out of the five members, I liked Yunho sunbae the most. He was just so charismatic and I respected his unconditional care and leadership."
- Chanyeol (EXO)
"After watching TVXQ's performances and hearing their songs, I was very touched." "TVXQ has always chased after different music styles, and their members all have very strong talents. Seeing TVXQ's music and stage makes me feel touched, and they're a very good influence on us. We've also started promoting in Japan, and compared to TVXQ sunbaes, we still have to secure a place. We all like TVXQ very much. We hope this time we'll use the chance to become more intimate with the members."
- Taeyang (Bigbang)
"I've learnt a lot from Dong Bang Shin Ki-hyung, I also registered in Junsu hyung's fan cafe and post lots of news and photos.""I've bought Dong Bang Shin Ki's CD and every time I listen to their songs I feel very good.""DBSK are a very idol group that everyone adores."
- Seungri (Bigbang)
"I admired them (DBSK) because they'd survived in a different country with different cultures.""Because we're in different genres, I've never seen them as a competitor. TVXQ is our respected sunbae. Their vocal skills are strong, and we've studied much of their performances and choreography. I've watched them stay determined to push themselves forward. They really are the perfect sunbaes."
- GDragon (Bigbang)
"I've been to Japan. TVXQ's popularity is even more extreme than we can imagine."
- Daesung (Bigbang)
"TVXQ sunbaes are very modest.Although they've already become Asia's top idol group, we respect the humbleness they display at all times."
- FT Island
"There are many groups coming out these days, and a lot of them look really good. TVXQ stands out among these groups." Dongwan (SHINHWA)"Back then, when we (Shinhwa) all gathered and saw TVXQ, 'Those fellows are so cool. It's frightening.' We never have the same thought like this before. We all acknowledge TVXQ's powerful song performance is really scary."
- Andy (SHINHWA)
"We admire TVXQ, who has been able to successfully make a place for themselves in Japan." - Super Junior"Watching DBSK and Super Junior brought me up to be a singer.."
- Zelo BAP
"When it comes to music, their passion is so intense that they're like different people, and that's what we admire."
- Jessica Tiffany SNSD
"Although they (DBSK) are already top stars, their personality is still very good."
- Kangta
"Out of all our sunbaes, TVXQ doesn't hold back, they've done very well." - Jonghyun (SHINee)"They're still the strongest group in Asia, can never be replaced because they're just too good."
- Alexander (U-Kiss)
"I've looked up to TVXQ since before I joined the company. I met then two weeks after I became a trainee during their 'Mirotic' activities. My heart was racing and it was an electrifying moment for me.""At first, I couldn't even speak. Though I've made my debut, I still feel nervous when I meet U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin. I still feel like just another fan."
- Xiumin (EXO)
"TVXQ are the seniors we wish to emulate and the embodiment of the goal we should strive to attain. TVXQ are able to fill up an entire stage with their presence alone, even though there's just two people. We barely fill up a stage with 12 people."
- Baekyun (EXO)
"When I was in 4th to 5th grade in elementary school, I liked TVXQ."
- Youngjae (B.A.P)

Paisley's Fan Account ...ABOUT kyuChang ....

Wednesday, May 23

Here is is folks, Paisley’s much anticipated fan account of what happened that night when Kyuhyun and Changmin sang to her! WOOHOO~

Where to start… Hm.. I’ve been asked a lot of questions and I’ve read a lot of rumors and comments about what happened and I hope this fan account clears it all up. I guess I’ll start from the beginning…

It was about 30 minutes or maybe longer into the concert. I think f(x) was performing. My friend Tanaya (@XFactorGlory) (aka Admin X) and I were standing against the railings in our section cheering and doing what you usually do at a concert, when these two official looking guys with head sets and name tags started slowly walking toward us. They stood on the other side of the railing, the first guy wore an ‘Producer’ tag, he was yelling rapidly in Korean (because it was really loud where we were) to the other guy who I just assume was a translator, he had an ‘all access pass’ tag on. They were looking and pointing and staring at me and they were about 2 feet away. I was really confused and then they both came up to me and pulled me closer to them. Then the Producer started talking again and the Translator told me that I was going to go up on stage and be sung to, I’m not sure if he said more because the music and fans were really loud. I got really excited and scared when they told me that, I looked back at Tanaya really quick before they pulled me and made me run after them back stage.

Yoochun's over the years hairstyles....

  • [Ceci] Park Yoo Chun’s Hairstyle over the Years
Since his debut in 2003, singer-actor Park Yoo Chun (JYJ, formerly DBSK) has made numerous hairstyle changes. From buzz to unbalanced to dandy styles, Park Yoo Chun has tried it all. In fact, devoted fans may even recognize what year the photo was taken based on his hairstyle. Hair stylist Kang Ho commented, “He has a pretty head, one that isn’t too angular nor round, making it possible for him to try different styles. He can style it any way he wants to depending on his album or character concept.”

2006
In 2006, Park Yoo Chun tried the wolf cut, letting the ends naturally curl from his shoulders. His side swept bangs were the finishing detail to his feminine, yet manly look.

2008
Park Yoo Chun went for an edgier look, purposely cutting his bangs in an unbalanced fashion. He also added some brown highlights to lighten up his hair color.

2010
For the Golden Disk Awards, Park Yoo Chun sported a clean-cut look. His hair looked neatly combed and presentable, perfect for a red-carpet event.

2010
For his warm and kind character in “Miss Ripley,” Park Yoo Chun went for the bowl cut, making him appear well groomed, boyish and young.

2012
To portray the adorable, gentle, yet firm time-traveling prince in “Rooftop Prince,” Park Yoo Chun softened his hairstyle with some gentle curls. He let his bangs fall gently to the side of his face, sometimes adding character to his look by styling his bangs upwards.

Trot Singer Hong Ban Jang Mentions Yunho In An Interview..

Tuesday, February 21

(T/N: The title of the original interview was “Trot Singer Hong Ban Jang ‘Arduous Life, Made Better Through Music’” )
Photobucket
We have discovered that you are good friends with TVXQ’s Uknow Yunho?
“I was in the same class as Yunho from Grade 2 to Grade 5 in elementary school. When we were in the 5th grade, Yunho transferred schools, so we were separated. We met again in high school, but I transferred to Seoul after less than a year, so we were separated again. At that time, we lost contact. Then Yunho became a star, and we managed to contact each other again after that. I am very happy to be able to see him.”
Did you tell him you were going to debut as a singer?
“Yes of course. Yunho tried really hard to talk me out of it. He told me that the life of an artist was very tiring and very difficult. Also, it was not guaranteed that I would do well. It seems he could not bear to see a friend suffer. Even so, when I really stood in the recording studio, the first person to come visit and give me support was Yunho.”

JYJ on past girlfriends and the possibility of regrouping as TVXQ

Wednesday, November 2

The trio of JYJ recently participated in a revealing interview with TV Report, as they discussed their achievements, the possibility of regrouping as TVXQ, and their past girlfriends.
The clout of the trio is unarguable, as they’ve scored numerous achievements in their short career as ‘JYJ’. For example, they received 520,000 pre-orders for their first album, “The Beginning,” and completed a world tour. The trio even ranked in the top five for Billboard‘s “2010 Albums of the Year” chart, in addition to having their article featured on the site’s main page.

We’ve had a lot of promotions in 2010, but because they weren’t shown on broadcast programs or main portals, the public seems to be misunderstanding us.  We really did spend a busy year, and although we had individual activities, we’ve also had an Asian tour and a U.S. showcase.  There is a bit of disappointment in not being able to promote on broadcast shows.  Being featured on Billboard, ranking in on the top five, and even working with top American producers… all of that didn’t create headlines.  It’s disappointing that they’ve been recorded as just personal achievements by us,” they stated.

They Are the Same 5 People

Wednesday, February 23

I did not write this myself, it doesn't represent my view or the position of this site in anyway. They are just the sentiments of another Cassie that I found and decided to translate.

What I'm feeling right now, I wouldn't call it pain… it's helplessness and it's a pent up sense of frustration. None of it has much to do with me, back when the fandom first started to split, I had already made the decision to turn my back on it all.

TVXQ. This group, it was with me in the naive days of primary school, the wild days of junior high and the now maturing days of high school. Even though so many people now say 'you can't always believe what you see', these 5 individuals have walked with me throughout the journey of life; I don't know how to let go. Looking back on the tracks that we've left, I remember everything so clearly and I realize that so many have now left those memories in the past, choosing only to hold on to the experiences that give them joy.

Everything they've shown us has proved that they are made of flesh and blood, just like you and I. Each word uttered from their lips, each moment of eye contact, I don't understand how anybody could ever doubt them. If any of that were fake, then the 5 of them would be award-winning actors now.

All things considered, I'm not really a fan of TVXQ, I'm a fan of the 5. What is TVXQ? It's a name. It's a glorious title that has now left us lost and helpless. It doesn't matter who is using it and who isn't, regardless of the views you may hold or the prejudices you may have, they were and still are your idols; why should we constantly argue over this name? I don't deny wanting to see the 5 of them together on stage, but I have to admit that I've always wanted them to leave the black hole that they were getting lost in, to leave the entertainment industry and live their lives as ordinary people, happy and carefree. Isn't it a good thing now that JYJ have left? I've always known that it would be difficult and I'd always known that their careers would be interfered with. There was never a moment in time when I'd I thought it would be easy.

As for Homin, they have the right and the freedom to make whatever decision they wish. No one is betraying anyone - which one of you can look the 5 of them in the eye and say that you know the truth behind it all? If you really were an OT5 fan and you know where you stand, then hold on to that choice and live with it. Don't feel like you should let go or pick a side because of rumors, controversy and arguments. They give their very best for us and we shouldn't neglect their efforts.

Those of us who are waiting for them to return as 5 - there is nothing wrong with being hopeful and keeping faith. Whether they're releasing an album as 5, as 3 or as 2; whether they're holding concerts as 5, as 3 or as 2; they are still the same 5 people, and we should stay the same, just as we always have.

TVXQ's Debut Album Makes a Sudden Increase in Sales

Friday, February 18

Recently, TVXQ’s debut album ‘Hug‘ jumped its way up to second place on the Hanteo real-time album sales chart.

As it’s been seven years since their debut album was released, what could be the explanation for this sudden increase in sales?

As all of you know, the group made its comeback with just two members, Yunho and Changmin, after three of its members - Junsu, Jaejoong and Yoochun - left the agency to form their own unit, ‘JYJ‘. Before the beginning of this mess, the group promoted in Japan for a long period of time, giving fans no chance to see them on Korean variety shows. They were heartbroken to see that the group split into two before returning to Korea, as they would not be shown together as five.

However, with the current promotions of the TVXQ duo, fans have been able to see them on numerous variety shows, such as SBS’s ‘Running Man’, KBS’s ‘Happy Together’, and SBS’s ‘Strong Heart’. This gave them incredible exposure to the public once again, resulting in many new fans who have little knowledge of the group’s history.

One reason for the sudden rise in sales for the group’s debut album is partly due to these new fans, who are curious about the group’s past and how they started their career.

Currently, both TVXQ’s ‘Keep Your Head Down Special Edition’ and ‘Hug’ is ranked high on the Hanteo charts.

TVXQ’s Yunho revealed that Kang Ho Dong was his personal mentor.

Tuesday, February 8

On SBS’s “Strong Heart“, TVXQ’s Yunho revealed that Kang Ho Dong was his personal mentor.

Yunho shared an anecdote involving his groupmate Max Changmin, which had taken place around the time of their debut. “After our debut, I started feeling some doubt about working in the entertainment industry – but then I met Kang Ho Dong at the set of a variety program. I felt that I could get back up after receiving some kind words from him. Kang Ho Dong is my mentor.”

This episode of “Strong Heart” will be aired on February 8th, and will feature TVXQ’s Yunho and Changmin, as well as veteran comedian Johnny Yoon, Girl’s Day member Minah, SBS’s announcer Kim Minji, as well as actors Lee Jong Suk, Shin Joo Ah, and Yoo In Na.

Viewers anticipate TVXQ’s appearance on “Strong Heart”

TVXQ joined the guests of SBS’s “Strong Heart” this week for a talk battle in an ‘homme fatale’ concept special.
Because the duo aren’t used to participating in talk shows that are geared towards choosing a final winner, much attention is being put on what type of stories the two will be sharing with the audience.

Since TVXQ’s variety appearance is being made at the same time of their album promotion cycle, some have even brought up concerns over whether the duo might be intimidated by others that are more skilled in the area.
