reason why she is not present in 2AM's 1st fanmeeting~

Many fans were curious why there were only 4 WonderGirls members present at 2AM’s first fanmeeting on 6th June – YooBin, YeEun, SunMi and SoHee - and leader SunYe was not present to support the 2AM boys.

The truth is that SunYe had spent that night celebrating her grandmother’s birthday. 6th June was SunYe’s grandmother’s birthday, and she had requested to be taken off from that schedule that day to celebrate her grandmother’s birthday personally.

SunYe has brought up by her grandmother since young, and she had always felt thankful for her grandmother and aimed to pay back with her filial piety and by working hard on becoming a great singer. Already, previously she had reportedly bought an apartment in Seoul for her grandmother.

The WonderGirls will head to China after finishing their activities in Korea on 11~12th June. And after which they will head back to America again.

WonderGirls YeEun and SunYe says on Coming-Of-Age Day “Time flies really fast

WonderGirls YeEun and SunYe conveyed their message in line with Coming-Of-Age Day.

The WonderGirls are currently preparing for their American debut in American and the 2 members had an interview with Newsen on 18th May.

YeEun said, “For me, it didn’t feel like Coming-of-age day for me. But as an adult now, I will continue to be hardworking YeEun. I feel a strong sense of responsibility for myself. I want to work hard as a student too.”

Leader SunYe said laughing, “Time flies like really fast. It didn’t feel like coming-of-age day for me. If I were in Korea, I would have receive presents on this day, but since we are here in America, I guess not”

Besides the WonderGirls members, 18th May is also coming-of-age day for So Nyeo Shi Dae members Hyo Yeon, Yuri, TaeYeon, Jessica, Tiffany and Sunny; Big Bang DaeSung; 2AM Jo Kwon; SHINee Onew; Kim So Eun, Kim Bum etc

SunYe, “I bought my grandmother a house”

Purchasing an apartment in Seoul as a large gift of gratitude in return for raising her

The news that SunYe, of the group Wonder Girls, gave a rather large gift to the grandmother who raised her has come to the attention of the media belatedly.

During the end of last year, SunYe purchased an apartment in the Seoul’s Joongrang-Ku Sangbong-Dong and invited her grandmother and father to live there. SunYe’s mother passed during SunYe’s childhood and because her father was also in poor health she was, instead, looked after by her grandmother. A close friend of SunYe stated, “SunYe’s been steadily saving the money she’s earned from working so she could arrange to buy a home for her grandmother and father.”

SunYe’s devotion to her family has long been established. In a number of interviews, SunYe’s stated almost habitually, “I want to make sure I succeed so my grandmother can live comfortably.” In addition, SunYe, who earned her driver’s license not too long ago and bought a car, stated, “I’m happy that I can go see my grandmother and father without getting help from my manager now.”
