SNSD’s fans praised Sunny for her brave action during the ‘stage intrusion’ incident which took place at the ‘Angel Price Music Festival’ held at Lotte World Ice Rink on April 17th.
Known as the ‘Taeyeon Incident’ by the media, the news as well as the footage of the incident have since spread like wildfire on the internet. On a Chinese online community, SNSD’s fans were full of praises for Sunny who displayed her bravery in helping to restrain the stranger from dragging Taeyeon off the stage.
Words alone are not enough to describe Sunny’s heroic act. The chinese fans made a super hero image and portrayed her as the ‘Super Girl’, which garnered much attention. The image was followed by caption ‘Thank you, Lee Sunkyu. You’re our HERO’. It seems that Sunny has emerged as the new hero among China’s online community.
Chinese netizens commented, “Taeyeon’s great bodyguard! Sunny. Even if you have 10 bodyguards, there’s nothing to be envious about”, “SNSD’s Super Girl Sunny!”, “You feel safe just by knowing Sunny is around. She’s SNSD’s bodyguard!”,etc.
Netizens who saw the footage of the ‘Taeyeon Incident’ also praised comedian Oh JungTae for his assistance and called him ‘SNSD’s hero’.
