On the 16th, MBC officials stated that their special planning committee decided this weekend that the new MBC drama “Time Slip Dr. Jin” starring Song Seung Heon and Kim Jaejoong would become the successor to “Feast of Gods” and have its first broadcast on May 26th. The drama “May Queen” which originally was supposed to take this spot has been postponed.
Accordingly, ‘Time Slip Dr. Jin’ will be in direct competition with Jang Dong Gun’s SBS drama “Gentleman’s Dignity”. These dramas will both be weekend dramas that will air at the same time. Additionally, both will start broadcast on May 26th. Because Song Seung Heon and Jang Dong Gun are both extremely popular celebrities, there is expected to be a large battle between the two [for ratings].
‘Time Slip Dr. Jin’ is based on the highly successful Japanese comic series “JIN” and tells the story of a modern age physician who goes back in time to the Joseon era. Song Seung Heon and Kim Jaejoong will take the place as the two lead male roles.
