TVXQ’s CF deal with Shilla’s Duty-Free, and MBC’s “Section TV Entertainment Report” has revealed coverage from the set of the commercial at the Incheon International Airport.

Ranked list of celebrities’ CF earnings revealed

With the quality of advertisements climbing ever upwards, more celebrities are earning greater pay just by signing contracts as CF models. Money Today’s enterprise team recently compiled data and created a ranked list of exactly how much top celebrities earn through CF deals by categorizing them into three classes (A to C), which range from $9,000 USD to over $200,000 USD.

According to this list, the top stars who earned the greatest income from CFs alone in the past year were Lee Young Ae, Go Hyun Jung, Jung Ji Hoon, Big Bang’s T.O.P, Kim Tae Hee, Kim Ji Hyun and Jo In Sung.

Technically speaking, musician Seo Tae Ji actually topped the charts by a fair amount. However, since Seo Tai Ji did not participate in a CF last year, and the figure is really only a “suggesting price”, it was difficult to fully compare his figure with other stars’.

When analyzing groups, Big Bang came out first with $970,000 USD, beating out the likes of SNSD and the Wonder Girls.

The full chart was categorized into three classes, A to C, which contained the earnings of just under 1,000 singers, actors, idols and sports stars. The data was from one single year, and was provided by advertising agencies whose main jobs were to hire celebrities for corporate CFs.

“Class A” consisted of celebrities who earned over $400,000 USD; “Class B” “Class C” was for stars who earned under $178,000 USD. consisted of those who earned between $178,000 USD and $400,000 USD; meanwhile,

Analyzing both males and females together, only 69 of out 869 celebrities (7.9%) were categorized in “Class A”, while 60% of the celebrities were classed under “Class C”.

Stars that were categorized under “Class A” include Jung Ji Hoon, Won Bin, Jang Dong Gun, Ahn Sung Gi, Kim Tae Hee, Moon Geun Young and Kim Tae Hee.

Only ten celebrities aged over 40 were grouped in “Class A”; the remaining celebrities were in their 30s and 20s respectively.

Finally, a total of 10 idol groups were calculated to be earning over $400,000 USD.

SNSD and 2PM’s Caribbean Bay CF Song and MV are Out!

Before, we showed you guys some of the CFs for Caribbean Bay’s new water park. Now, we’re back with the full song for the CF: Cabi!

2PM’s Nichkhun endorses Minute Maid

 

 2PM’s dandy man Nichkhun showed a different side of his charismatic self through the new Minute Maid CF.

In the Minute Maid CF filming site that took place at Kyung Ki Do’s English Village, Nichkhun transformed into a “Pulpy Guy.” 

Nichkhun, who displayed a romantic image found within the freshness of a fruit, drank seven liters of his endorsed drink despite the producer’s advice to “drink reasonably.” Additionally, it was said that Nichkhun exercised a bit, such as doing push-ups and sit-ups, before resuming his CF shoot.

The handsome idol’s “Minute Maid with Pulpy” self can be viewed through a smart phone’s QR cord. QR, which stands for “Quick Response,” is a bar code where you can store pictures, videos, text and different kinds of information inside.

MBLAQ’s Thunder for Tropicana CF

As the boys of MBLAQ prepare for their comeback on the 18th, it seems one of the members has scored a nice endorsement deal. MBLAQ member Thunder also known as the younger sibling of 2NE1’s Sandara Park is featured in a new CF (Commercial Film) for Tropicana Sparkling.

The background music from the CF is from their upcoming title track Y and the tag line for the CF is “Boys, Be Real…” No word on if the other members will have their own CF’s but I would expect so.

Super Junior-M’s Commercial Film for Oppo

Oppo, an electronics manufacturer in China recently recruited the boys of Super Junior-M to advertise a new phone that they're releasing. After taking many photo shoots for Oppo, the CF (Commercial Film) for this particular product has been recently released.

The CF features a beautiful girl, the Super Junior-M boys, and a piano. If you recognize the girl, but can't recall exactly who it is, her name is Kim Min Ji and she played the role of Jang Yumi in the popular drama Boys Over Flowers. She's the one that's in the hospital with Lee Minho's character Goo Jun Pyo and tries to push Geum Jandi away from him. It seems China is doing a similar concept done in Korea and using popular artists to promote their phones (Samsung Anycall and LG Cyon). KARA FOR a chicken commercial

Kara (Park Gyuri, Han Seungyeon, Jung Nicole, Goo Hara, Kang Jiyoung), who are currently are popular with ‘Mister’ after ‘Wanna’, have been chosen as the new model for the oven-roasted chicken, ‘good-because-it’s-roasted chicken’.

Kara, who have been receiving a lot of popularity with ‘butt dance’, has risen as the new dark horse in the industry of CFs, and, for the first time in their lives, became models for a chicken commercial.

Jinjin Food System revealed the reason for their choice: “Kara has been attracting many fans from the younger age and are receiving popularity thanks to their young and fresh charm” and “We also wanted to choose models who are different to the former models, and we’ve decided to pick Kara as the model.”

Jinjin Food System is attempting to use Kara’s young and fresh image with the new chicken CF to enhance their brand marketing in the future. Kara, who have started with printed-commercial shooting on the 23rd, are set to shoot the actual CF.

Kara members, after becoming the CF models, said “We always wanted to become models for chicken, which are said to be done only by stars,” and “We are even happier as we like chicken.”

Well now gamers can experience the thrill once again, this time, with girl group 2NE1.

Official Yoon Jang Yeol from GAMEHI - the service provider of Sudden Attack - revealed through CJ Internet on the 15th, 'We will be adding 2NE1 characters to Sudden Attack. 2NE1 will join Rain and Big Bang as the third celebrity characters in game. GAMEHI has specially inserted real voices of 2NE1 members, and are also allowing gamers to select the group's song 'Pretty Boy' as their background music in the game lobby.'

Rain & Goo Hye Sun are Tous Les Jours CF models

Singer and actor Bi / Rain has been chosen as the new CF model for Korea's famous bakery brand, Tous Les Jours (뚜레쥬르).

Rain is currently working hand in hand with actress Goo Hye Sun for an upcoming Tous Les Jours CF. Filming for this CF had already begun earlier this month and is still in the works. In this CF, Rain will hold a cute and playful image that will highlight Tous Les Jours's smooth image.


This CF will show different charms of Rain, other than the charismatic and humorous charms in his previous SKT Telecom CF. Many, if not all, of Rain's CFs were very entertaining, so I have no doubts that this one will be great as well.

After rocking the stage yet again with another remix of "I Don't Care", the powerhouse newbies, 2NE1, are back to please the fans with their latest CF for 11st clothing line. In the CF, the girls show off their interesting fashion choices while conversing with one another via their cellphones.

Newcomer group T-ara has been said to have receive proposals and lovealls for CF and events even before their debut.

The group, 3 years in the making by Mnet has already one member JiYeon with much attention focused on her. She was involved project group with SeeYa and Davichi recently. Also she will be starring in an upcoming drama ‘Soul’ on MBC.

And before their debut, they have received love calls to model for 7 CFs for clothing and cosmetic brands aimed at the teenage market.

This shows great interests on this group even though they have yet revealed their title song and will only be debuting end-July.

Meanwhile it has been revealed that the girls will film for the teaser video and also the MV for their debut for 5 days.

On July 6, Sony Korea chose the new 5-member girl group 4minute’s song, “Music”, as their MP3-player Walkman’s theme song. Sony’s recent Walkman brand chose the actor Ryu Seungbum.
They used the slogan “Walkman goes crazy because of the music” to capture the hearts of consumers and show a positive outlook.

Sony Korea’s Walkman product manager Lee Sangwoon said that “We’re looking for many ways for the Sony Walkman brand to provide the best mood for enjoying music.”

Hyun Bin may be currently appearing in a dark, intense drama (Friend, Our Legend), but he takes a decidedly light-hearted approach in his latest CF.

In this new CF for restaurant franchise Outback Steakhouse, he and actress Seo Hyo-rim cozy up together but are thwarted by food (Hyun Bin moves in for a kiss but is distracted by the sight of a steak. Hehe). The CF was shot last month in Gangwondo, and began running at the start of July. (This is the third part of the CF series.)

They’d actually worked together before (even if their storylines were more or less separate) in last year’s drama series The World They Live In, where Hyun Bin played a drama PD and Seo Hyo-rim played a rookie actress.

Seo is a relative newbie to the business but she’s already gained some notice in several dramas; in addition to World and Job Well Done, she was also in Insoon Is Pretty and When Spring Comes, and has become something of a hot CF commodity these days.

The two actors are also appearing in current weekend dramas — he in Friend, Our Legend, and she in Job Well Done.
