hello to all... since i have some stuff going on.. and some stuff that i need to remedy for the next few days...
ill be going on hiatus... thus,... not exactly a hiatus thingy,... but maybe not to be online like for the next few days... more like i need to say ill be off for a while into blogging and news about Koreans.. especially on TVXQ...

so since i post on my previous post that its our foundation today and tomorrows till saturday.. anyway... here is a copy of the day 2 event which will be tomorrow..

[NEWS] Popular Girl Groups Have ‘Foreigners’

There is a common factor between popular girl groups, which is having members who grew up in foreign countries or have studied overseas.

9 member girl group SNSD who is receiving lots of popularity with their new mini album title song ‘Gee’, members Tiffany (20) and Jessica (20) are from overseas. Tiffany and Jessica grew up in the States and to fulfill their dreams of becoming singers during middle school and high school, they came to Korea.

5 member girl group Kara’s member Nicole (18) is from overseas. Kara’s entertainment company DSP Media informed on the 16th ” Born in America, Nicole came to Korea around the age of 15 after living there to become a singer.”

New and superior girl group After School’s youngest Baekha (20) also came from overseas from Hawaii in America and before 1 year and 6 months ago, lived there since.

In popular girl groups, after being born in Korea, there are members who traveled overseas to study in America, Japan and China.

Wonder Girls‘ Yoobin (21) went overseas for a year and 2 months after her family’s business moved to the States and came back to Korea.

Jewelry’s HaJuyeon (23) also studied overseas. Jewelry’s entertainment company Star Empire informed “Ha Juyeon graduated in U.S.A, L.A’s Granada High School and while going to a college there, came back to Korea to become a singer.”

Kara’s Han Seungyeon (21) attended one of America’s top high schools, Tenafly High School in New Jersey for about a year and 6 months. Han Seungyeon told Star News saying “I didn’t graduate from Tenafly High School, in the middle I wanted to become a singer and came back to Korea.” After returning from America, Han Seungyeon graduated from a high school in Korea through a G.E.D and after studying hard in 2008 was accepted at Kyunghee University for Theater and Drama.

SNSD’s Sooyoung (19) and Hyoyeon (20) studied overseas during their middle school days separately in Japan and China. SNSD’s entertainment company SM Entertainment revealed “Sooyoung studied in Japan and Hyoyeon studied in China for over 1 year” and “The two went overseas to study during middle school and after living there has become very familiar to the language.”

Then why are the popular girl groups these days have members from overseas as if it’s a given? About the topic, entertainment officials say “It is because the members provide multiple benefits to the team and selling overseas.”

'Dragonball' to Make World Premiere in Korea

The explosively popular Japanese comic ``Dragon Ball'' comes to life via Hollywood as ``Dragonball: Evolution.'' Before its world premiere March 12 in South Korea, the movie's cast of fresh young actors, Asian superstar Chow Yun-fat and former K-pop star Joon Park (Park Joon-hyung) turned up the temperature a notch in Seoul with their promotional tour Tuesday.

The original 500-plus-episode cartoon is based on the epic fantasy ``Chinese Odyssey.'' First published in 1984, it sold over 200 million copies worldwide and has been made into three TV animation series, 21 movies and 25 video games.

The new Stephen Chow production brings the story of a teenaged Goku (Justin Chatwin) who, upon the dying wishes of his adoptive grandfather (Randall Duk Kim), seeks out the great masters Roshi (Chow Yun-fat) and Bulma (Emmy Rossum). With his friends Yamcha (Joon Park) and Chi Chi (Jamie Chung), he must gather all seven magical orbs or Dragon Balls before the evil Lord Piccolo (James Marsters) uses them to conquer the world.

Extensive clips of the movie were revealed exclusively for the Korean press. ``I also love the comic books, but the manga is very (long). There's no way to put all that in the movie,'' said director James Wong (``Final Destination''). ``The goal also is to be able to introduce `Dragonball' not only to fans but those who don't know it,'' he said, adding that he wanted to craft a story that is relatable to a young audience. ``Hopefully we'll have a chance to tell the rest of it in subsequent movies.'' The creation of sequels will depend on the success of the upcoming film, he said.

Chatwin (``Invisible''), who had been a fan of the TV cartoon, said he was both excited and fearful of interpreting such an iconic character. He had to undergo intense martial arts training ― ``vomiting because they pushed us so hard.'' ``But it's a super fun movie and I'm absolutely honored,'' he said.

Chow, the hero of Hong Kong noir films, plays a rather comical role in the movie. Dressed in all black instead of his character's Hawaiian shirt, he jokingly said his wife ― who is also his manager and mentor ― ``forced'' him to take the role because she needed ``money to buy a very famous bag.'' He threw the crowded pressroom into more bouts of laughter with humorous Korean phrases. Chow was last here 15 years ago for shooting an action movie. He said he was surprised with the modernization, ``but kimchi is still the same'' as it is with the passionate people.

Park said it was a great honor to work with Chow in his second Hollywood movie after ``Speed Racer.'' ``Mr. Chow is such a huge star but on the set he is so humble and professional, and gave me a lot of guidance,'' he said. About working in the United States, the former G.O.D. rapper said he felt proud to see that the Korean film industry is as sophisticated as Hollywood.

A group of young women waited outside the venue, screaming each time Park spoke. Chung, an up and coming Korean American actress (``Chuck and Larry'') said she was surprised to witness Park's popularity when his fans greeted him at the airport Monday. ``He's my `oppa' (big brother); he took care of me,'' she said about working with Park. ``I'm so proud to be here,'' she said.

Screen beauty Rossum, who recently shot an advertisement here, said she was happy to return. ``Everyone here has a good sense of humor and I can see why everyone likes `Dragon Ball.''' Looking striking in a red dress, she said she tried to bring Bulma to life as a ``feisty, determined, intelligent, and yes, hopefully a little sexy, woman.''

Marsters pointed out that the movie is based on ``Dragon Ball'' rather than ``Dragon Ball Z'' and that his character Lord Piccolo is a powerful, muscular villain rather than a decrepit old man. Another difference, he said, is that the film does not feature Lord Piccolo's superpower ability of dismembering himself.

Online Users Choose Their Favorite Stars

Internet users have chosen Cha Tae-hyun of “Speedy Scandal (Scandal Maker)” and Shin Min-ah of “Go Go 70s” as their favorite movie stars. The two film stars will be presented with the best leading actor and actress awards at the 6th Max Movie Grand Film Awards later Wednesday night in Seoul.

Cha’s film “Speedy Scandal” has drawn more than 8 million moviegoers, becoming the seventh highest grossing Korean film. The comedy about three-generation family with Cha as a young grandfather has warmed the hearts of Korean film lovers and again put Cha on the map as the nation’s leading comic actor. Shin was applauded for her role as a dancer in “Go Go 70s,” a film about a rock band struggling to make it in the conservative era of the 1970s.

Other award recipients include director Na Hong-jin of “The Chaser” for the best director’s award, the late Heath Ledger of “Dark Knight” for the best supporting actor category, and Kim Hae-sook of “Open City” for the best supporting actress category.

KBS 2TV Music Bank did a little reorganisation to their show on 11th January 2008 introducing their own ‘K Chart’ and upgrading itself to become ‘MuBank K Chart Show’.

With its 500th episode coming, we see the different records made on the show in the past 1 year.

And group Big Bang is the number 1 winner on the chart for the past year.

A’ST1’s Hai Ming on Boys Over Flowers

In episode 14 of KBS2TV Boys Before Flowers? Anyone who saw the last fifteen minutes or so noticed a new face. The new character is questionably possessive over JiHoo. YouTube comments are all about how this guy might be gay.

The new character Ming is Hai Ming of DSP's A'ST1, a six-member boy band that debuted last April. He is the only Chinese member in the band.

Kim So Eun is a No Show

Group Eight, the production company behind KBS2TV Boys Before Flowers are fuming.

The reason being Kim So Eun who is playing Ga Eul. She was supposed to turn up for filming at 2pm this afternoon. But 4 hours later, she was still nowhere to be found.

For the scene, 70 extras plus the crew added up to over 100 people who were all waiting for Kim So Eun's arrival. The scene was one of Jun Pyo's birthday party. She was understood to be at a CF filming shoot but the production company is arguing that they rejected the idea due to scheduling conflicts. On Kim So Eun's side her reps are sticking with the story that they let the production company know beforehand. Due to this incident, the whole production is being setback (even further). The production company is considering taking legal action.

5 and a half hours later, Kim So Eun showed up to the filming site and they were able to start filming.

Jang Hyuk And Sung Yuri as Lovers

It was revealed today that Jang Hyuk has been confirmed for the movie Rabbit and Lizard opposite fellow SidusHQ colleague, Sung Yuri (her debut movie) and become a couple. The movie Rabbit and Lizard is about a girl who had left the country when she was little after being adopted by an overseas family and is now back in her home country, in search of her identity. Sung Yuri plays the adopted girl who returns to her home country after 23 years living overseas. She is aided in her search by a cab driver played by Jang Hyuk.

Members of the Wonder Girls said that they are still in a state of dizziness at the interview after receiving the Daesang Award. Although they gained popularity being Korea's little sisters group after the big hit 'Tell Me' and consecutive hits, 'So Hot' and 'Nobody', all have an unbelievable expression when they were identified as winners at the traditional and prestigious Seoul Gayo Daesang. The special sense of joy and emotions of being crowned as one of Korea's most popular singers only two years after their debut.


－ Thoughts about receiving the Daesang?
We received a really big award at the start of 2009. We think that the award is not just only for us, but also a reward for the efforts and hardwork of all those who helped us.


－ Within 2 years after the debut in Febuary 2007, Wonder Girls rised to the top. Have you expected it to be so fast?
In our debut year, we were determined to work hard when we received the Rookie of the Year Award. We didn't thought even in our dreams that we would receive the Daesang this quickly. We think that staff and members in our company and so forth have been working hard supporting us with a strong strength.

－ The feeling as the name 'Wonder Girls' was announced as Daesang winners?
Dizzy. We felt dizzy and out of our minds from the start of the encore performance to the end. We wanted to give a great show as the Daesang winners but it was shocking and memories from the period of our activities flashes by like films.

－ What is the driving force to being winners of the award?　
Maybe its the strength of the people. (Laughs) We will never get this award merely by the strength of our five members. Members of our company and fellow staff have the biggest credits. It seems like the charm of Wonder Girls is that we are like sisters next-door and each personalities of the 5 members emerged on stage.

－ The first person that you think of after receiving the Daesang?
Sohee: I thought of my fellow members first
Sunmi: My parents appeared.
Yoobin: I thought of the members of JYPE first.
Sunye: The faces of my fellow members appeared first too.
Yeeun: Not a human, I thought of God.

－ We know that the large project of entering the market of US is in progress. What are the future activity plans?
The respective concerts will start this month on the 28th in Thailand, on the 5th, 6th and 8th of next month in the US, 21st in Busan and 28th in Seoul. We want to focus first on the concerts. Then our activities will be working hard to prepare and release our new album.

Seung Ri’s Strong Baby Remix Performance

Big Bang member Seung Ri performed a remix version of his hit single "Strong Baby" on today's MBC Music Core. He came out wearing hot pink pants with a white vest and pink tie.

Masa is one of the most amazing DJ’s out there and he has a style of mixing together popular american music with asian music and blending them together perfectly in a unified state so that it sounds like heaven to our ears.

Masa presents us with another volume of JBOOTIE and this one, track number four called Why Did I Fall in Love with Your Halo features music from the famous asian group DBSK originating in Korea and the big solo star Beyonce in America. The actual lyrics of the song by DBSK used, however, is one of their japanese songs and Masa definitely presents us with a more peaceful tone to this song by using Beyonce’s music with it.
