JYJ Kim Jaejoong, The ‘Action Scene Beginner’ Without Limits‏...

No to stuntman at ‘Dr Jin’ filming site! Filled with vigor!

As a “Flower Boy” idol representative, JYJ member Kim Jaejoong devoted himself to action scenes despite the risk of getting his face hurt.

Kim Jaejoong is currently acting as the police bureau official Kim Kyung Tak in MBC weekend drama, ‘Dr Jin’ and thus challenged himself for the first time in action scenes. Due to his character, he underwent training for horse-riding and swordsmanship even before the actual filming started.

JYJ’s representative company C-JeS entertainment expressed on the 20th that, “Kim Jaejoong registered himself at a martial actions school and underwent horse-riding lessons right after he received the scripts. Just like that, he learnt how to wield the sword from scratch, intensely practicing each and every step.”

In fact, during the filming, Kim Jaejong has never leave his sword aside. This is a way he deduced to make himself closer to and naturally as Kim Kyung Tak, the official with highly skilled martial arts.

However the intense practice has its cons too. C-JeS representative expressed that, “As there were many sword wielding scenes, there were many hands-wounding incidents. Despite the possibility of getting hurt, he has no fear for it. He seems to have gained the desire to be better at his first acting with action scenes as he would want to take on the action scenes himself rather than leaving it to the stuntman.”

The drama representative complimented, “The determination (to do the action scenes) within his reach without any stuntman is very admirable.”
