JYJ-SM Come To An Agreement: SM “It Was For The Best”, JYJ “A Battle That Had Already Been Won”

The legal dispute between SM Entertainment and JYJ (Kim Junsu, Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun) has finally come to an end through an agreement after three years and four months.

According to judicial circles, SM Entertainment and the three members of JYJ came to an agreement on the 28th to settle the termination date of any and all contracts between the two parties as the 31st of July, 2009, the date that JYJ filed their injunction of nullification. Also, it has been found that they have decided to drop all related lawsuits and have signed an agreement stating that they will not interfere with any activities that the other party pursues.

SM Entertainment said, “The trio stated that they have no intention of performing as members of the group ‘TVXQ’, so SM has come to the decision that we no longer have a reason to be in charge of management for the trio. We have come to a mutual agreement to not interfere with the other party’s activities as our paths will not cross in the future, and the lawsuit has come to an end through this agreement. Also, we have come to the decision that the best course of action was to end this lawsuit to ensure that there will be no more additional damages or unnecessary issues that arise because of the lawsuit that may harm U-Know Yunho and Choikang Changmin, who are currently active as ‘TVXQ’.”

CEO Baek Chang Joo of C-JeS Entertainment stated, “We believed that this was a battle that had already been won three years ago when the courts accepted our injunction. To be honest, we don’t believe that there will be much change to JYJ’s activities after the verdict because the interference of JYJ’s activities isn’t a legal issue, but a battle between David and Goliath.” He also added, “We are currently walking down a path that only JYJ could take, and we will continue to pursue our own activities, as planned,” and “We hope that the success of this agreement will rectify the various limitations placed upon JYJ that used the lawsuit as an excuse, and we would like to once more sincerely thank the domestic and international fans who have given JYJ their unwavering support from the start.”

Girls' Generation's very own barbie girl came out today to receive an award at Korea's 3rd Annual Barbie & Ken Awards Ceremony.

She's none other than SNSD's Jessica who came along with TVXQ's Yunho. During the event, the two were named the third Barbie and Ken and were awarded the special edition dolls that resembles them courtesy of Matel.

Back in 2010 it was Kim Bum and Hwang Jung Eum who were awarded as the first Barbie & Ken while in 2011 the award went to Song Joong Ki and After School's UEE.

On the 16th, JYJ Jaejoong, Song Ji Hyo, Oh Dal Soo and Han Soo Jin attended the production press conference of ‘Code Name: Jackal’. ‘Code Name: Jackal’ is a comedy about a legendary professional killer who kidnapped the top star Choi Hyun and the events that followed.

When Jaejoong was asked if he was burdened as a Hallyu star’s image being tarnished, he answered, “I don’t have such worries. When I got the script, though I think it will kind of destroy my image, I took it on without such feelings. Therefore I have no fears or burden. I think the (JYJ) members will laughed out immediately if they watch this movie as there’s no others that destroy my image more than this.”

When speaking of his outlook, Jaejoong jokingly said, “I won’t be so ‘radiant’ if there is no lighting.”

When asked if there is anyone he would want to kidnap, he answered, “Too many. If I have anyone that I like in the future, if she decides to delay marriage or doesn’t like me, I would kidnap her.”

Comedy ‘Code Name: Jackal’ will be on the big screen in November.

On October 18, Kim tweeted pictures with the comment, “They suddenly came to me and said, ‘Let’s take self portraits!’ These are the results.”

In the first picture, Kim Jun Su is posing like a dinosaur with his mouth open and Kim Jae Joong is smiling with Park Yoo Chun. In the second picture, Park made people laugh out loud by wearing a bizarre look on his face while looking up and sticking his tongue out.

People who saw the pictures responded: “JYJ is good at taking bizarre self portraits.” “I laughed out loud at the pictures.” “All three of them are still handsome.”

Kim Jae Joong will debut as a movie actor through the movie Jackal Is Coming, which will be released in November. He played the role of a top star named Choi Hyun, who is kidnapped by female killer Bong Min Jung (played by Song Ji Hyo).

JYJ's Jaejoong revealed his thoughts on dating and relationships.

On October 16, Jaejoong attended a press conference for his upcoming movie, "Jekyll's Coming." He stated, "If I was a killer who kidnapped people, there would be many people I would want to kidnap."

This movie is about a ruthless celebrity who doesn't care about his fans or the people around him. He is then kidnapped by a killer, who is played by Song Ji Hyo.

Jaejoong commented, "There are a lot of people I like, so I would kidnap a lot of people. If there was a girl I like and she kept delaying a marriage or did not like meeting me, I would probably kidnap her. I would kidnap her just so that I could date her."

This movie will be released sometime in November.

Just like how the 30s-40s are the heydays of actors, the once faltering actors in their 20s are beginning to exhibit their vigour again.

Dazzling visual is a given, further using exemplary acting foundation, the actors in their 20s who have carved their place in the primetime dramas captured the attention of female audience, thus resulting in the effect of rising viewership ratings. Since the beginning of the year, from Jang Geunsuk, to Kim Soohyun, Yoo Ah In, Lee Seunggi, Park Yoochun, and Joowon, etc, it is expected that the power of the 20s be constantly exhibited.

- Park Yoochun, standing out as an actor, not idol
Park Yoochun (27) who has received the public’s love through SBS “Rooftop Prince”, will meet the audience in November via MBC Wed-Thurs “I Miss You” (Scriptwriter Moon Heejung Director Lee Jaedong).

“I Miss You” is a traditional melodrama that depicts a love story like hide-and-seek of a man and a woman who lives while embracing their wounds from when they were 15 year-old after being robbed of those first love memories. Park Yoochun portrays homicide detective Han Jungwoo, a man who cherishes his yearning for his first love and who turns beastly when chasing after criminals. Yoon Eunhye is being cast as Park Yoochun’s first love.

Park Yoochun embarked on his road as an actor through KBS’ “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”. Winning a Best New Actor award with this drama, and the subsequent MBC’s “Miss Ripley” and SBS’ “Rooftop Prince”, solidified his role as an actor. The upright crown prince Lee Gak time travelled 300 years and arrived today, Park Yoochun acted the completely different daily tasks in comedic manner. Having acted only in gentle and composed roles, Park Yoochun demonstrated his comic acting. Also, his accurate pronounciation and alternating between strong and soft tones are a given, though his exquisite emotional expression are even more helpful to aid the audience to immerse into the show. Especially in the scene where he faces his beloved Park Ha (Han Jimin’s role) and was being honest with his feelings, he played out romantic to the ultimate, and captured the hearts of the audience.

In the end, Park Yoochun once again used his acting and completely eradicated worries like “Would it be okay if he takes the title role?”. Because of this, it is unsurprising that everyone is really excited about the love story to premiere in November in which he takes on the lead role. Just how much will Park Yoochun’s acting improve again in “I Miss You”, let’s anticipate.

Guerilla Date Filming With DBSK Shuts Down Due to Overwhelming Number of Fans

Reflecting DBSK (TVXQ)’s mega popularity, a recent TV recording in public had to be shut down due to the overwhelming number of fans.

Recently, the DBSK members took time to record for KBS’ Entertainment Relay. As part of the show’s ‘Guerrilla Date’ corner, the two members were being interviewed outside in public.

However, as Entertainment Relay’s reporter Kim Tae Jin revealed via his Twitter, “Today’s recording of DBSK’s guerilla date at 8:30 p.m. in Shinchon has been cancelled due to safety reasons. There were about a hundred times many more people than pictured and it was quite dangerous.”

The included picture showed a number of security guards keeping an eye popping number of people at bay.

It was revealed that the show had originally intended to film the interview with DBSK in the streets of Shinchon but due to the overwhelming number of people, the shooting had to be cancelled due to safety precautions.

DBSK is currently promoting its new album Catch Me.

TVXQ’s Yunho: “I couldn’t sing because of a disease on my tonsil”

TVXQ’s Yunho recently said that he once thought about giving up his dream of becoming a singer.
The group appeared on the October 6 episode of KBS’s Story Show Do Dream and gave a lecture under the title ‘Dream doesn’t abandon you.’

Yunho said, “I have several singers in my family. Thanks to them, I could receive awards at singing contests. But I had a disease on my tonsil and I couldn’t continue singing, which is my favorite thing to do.”
“I couldn’t speak speak and I thought about giving up my dream of becoming a singer. But I tried very hard and I finally made my dream come true.”

He drew a lot of attention by adding, “After I debuted as a singer, I was preparing for a concert. Then the disease on my tonsil appeared again and my agency even told me not to attend the concert. But I numbed my throat and sang songs on the stage.”

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun, who represent the same agency with the group, also appeared on the show.

“Love is like a snowflake,” by JYJ member Kim Junsu, from the soundtrack of KBS 2TV drama “The Innocent Man” dominated Korea’s major music charts soon after it was released on September 26. It topped daily charts on Melon, Bugs Music and Daum Music and ranked high on Soribada, Naver Music and Cywold Music on the day of the release.
With its soundtrack topping the major music charts, the drama “The Innocent Man” also won viewership crown. There was an instant increase in viewership when “Love is like a snowflake” was featured in the preview, and the rating reached its highest ever at 16% (by AGB Nielsen Media Research) on the sixth episode on Thursday, September 27.
Meanwhile, “Love is like a snowflake,” by Kim Junsu, has been selected as the drama’s main theme song and will continue its upturn in the music charts.

PART 1 – REFLECT 2012

Q. How does it feel to be voted Best Artist for the first half of 2012 by KpopStarz, US Media?

Jaejoong: First of all, I would like to say thank you. I had a chance to greet fans through the World Tour last year. Once again, I could feel that there are many fans in many different countries who love us. Through receiving this award, I could feel that love once again.

Q. What has been your most memorable moment so far in 2012?

Jaejoong: World Tour I mentioned was one of the most memorable moments. I got a big impression of how much we are loved. In fact, today was one of the most memorable moments because a very precious award was given to me. I hope tomorrow will be another one of those memorable moments as well.

Q. You held a solo meet & greet with fans this year in Taiwan and Turkey. And this summer, there was the JYJ Fan Exhibition. How were these experiences for you? Is there a memorable fan moment that sticks out?

Jaejoong: I had visited Taiwan a few times before for other fan meet-and-greets but it was my first time visiting Turkey. I was very surprised by many of the fans there and just how many there were. I don’t know how to speak their language but so many of the fans there could speak Korean. I was reminded of the saying– “there are no boundaries in love.” I was really touched by the gifts they prepared for me. As well as Korean songs they completely memorized and sang along to.

PART 2 – JYJ

Q. When was the last time all 3 JYJ members were together? What did you do?

Jaejoong: There hasn’t been enough time to hangout together these days. Junsu was having a world tour, I was filming a drama and a movie at the same time. Although there has not been an opportunity to meet personally, we met together for a shooting game commercial recently.

We also went to the US for 2 weeks for work and vacation. It was really enjoyable. I don’t think there’s any special activity we do. When we meet usually, there are things we need to do. It is really fun because the conversations we have are not normal. Our members are so funny.

2 weeks is not enough for us to hangout together since there are many stories to share with each other. We are so happy we get along. I have big expectations for tomorrow because we will meet again for another commercial.

Q. How much do Junsu and Yoochun mean to you?

Jaejoong: Junsu? He is the most handsome man in the world. That was a joke. Will he feel bad if I say it was a joke?

He is handsome. But you are referring to what he means to me, right? Junsu and Yoochun are almost like family to me. In a way, our relationship is closer than family that we don’t even need words to communicate with each one another.

I just met Junsu right before at our shop. It wasn’t strange to see him again even though I had not seen him in a long time. Since we are like family, It’s not necessary to say “how are you?” because we are really close to each other.

Q. In the midst of difficulties in promotion after coming out as a new group, what is the strength of JYJ?

Kim Junsu Releases English Single, “Uncommitted”

On August 17th at noon, JYJ’s Kim Junsu released his first solo English single, “Uncommitted.” In addition to releasing the single, he also released the title track music video, which was directed by Marc Klasfeld and Ray Yeom.
Instead of releasing a repackaged album for his first solo album, “TARANTELLEGRA,” Kim Junsu decided to go

with an English single. Working with Bruce “Automatic” Vanderveer, who has previously worked with Christina Aguilera, Wanted and Leona Lewis, Kim Junsu sang the beautiful track “Uncommitted.”

The single also includes the English version of “TARANTELLEGRA,” as well as the instrumental to both tracks.

JYJ sues Dispatch for defamation of character ....

After creating controversy with the release of their report and audio files detailing the alleged swearing and violence against sasaeng fans by the JYJ members, Dispatch has been sued by JYJ for defamation of character.

According to reports that have surfaced, JYJ’s representatives are said to have filed a lawsuit against Dispatch asking for 100 million KRW (~$88,355 USD) on August 1st KST. It is also reported that they have demanded that Dispatch take down the audio files and their article, or be fined with 3 million KRW (~$2,650 USD) each day that the media outlet does not comply. One report also mentioned that the representatives stated that Dispatch had threatened to release more reports if they were not granted an exclusive interview.

JYJ’s legal team stated, “Publicly revealing an illegally recorded audio file without confirming with those involved first and revealing their real names is considered to be defamation of character and a violation of privacy.”

“We had previously filed a criminal case back in March. However, after discussion, we thought that a civil lawsuit was a better fit, and thus retracted the previous lawsuit and refiled again.”

JYJ Kim Jaejoong revealed his way to battle the harsh summer heat.
Yesterday, Kim Jaejoong was in an outdoor filming site for ‘Dr Jin’ and completed a fighting scene under the 36 degrees summer sky.

In the drama as a Major, Kim Jaejoong had to don an outfit that is suffocating, together with wrist and knee guards and then perfectly executed the long-hours of fighting scene.

Drama representative expressed that, “Because Kyung Tak is a military officer, therefore just the rehearsal between the action actors of the fighting scene took 1-2 hours to complete. For the realistic scene, filming has to be done from different angles again, therefore a fight scene will take a long time to film.” “Just by standing, one can feel the tiredness. Under such weather, Kim Jaejoong personally took note of the fighting route and did not used any substitute action actor and perfectly completed the fighting scene.”

Kim Jaejoong’s representative C-JeS Entertainment expressed, “Kim Jaejoong is currently donning the historical outfit with his hairdo, fighting with the harsh summer heat.” “The car is loaded with a icebox filled with ice and he had a ice bag with him all the time. JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun recently deleted his Twitter account. On August 1, the singer-actor tweeted, “I’m always grateful for your continuing support and love. I hope to meet you again with better songs and acting. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart, and I love you.” Shortly after posting, he deleted his account.

Park Yoo Chun has avidly communicated with his fans through Twitter since October 16, 2010, expressing his thoughts and sharing photos. The unexpected move alarmed many fans, who began wondering if he was going through internal conflicts.

The members of group JYJ – Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu achieved first place in each of their own fields and are continuously thriving. JYJ released an album last year and finished a world tour this March even though they did not carry out any promotional activities. The members have been very active in their individual activities and their popularity hasn’t wane at all.

Kim Junsu (XIA)’s popularity in South America is extraordinary. His title song Tarantallegra beat Teen Top to emerge first on Peru’s weekly radio chart. Kim Junsu emerged first with 1,835 votes, ahead of other celebrities like Big Bang, Tokio Hotel, Justin Bieber and 2NE1 in a vote that consisted of 3,014 participants.
This is not the only sign of Peru’s ‘Junsu’s disease. After the confirmation announcement on the cities for Kim Junsu’s world tour, ‘PERUlovesXIA’, ‘PERUdeservesXIATOUR’ and other related words became the most searched words in real time on social networking sites. A representative from South America said, “After Mexico, Chile and Brazil’s concerts are confirmed, fans from Peru, Colombia, Bolivia and Argentina were greatly disappointed.”

He received 15,000 votes (71%) out of 22,000 votes. Dr Jin’s Song Seung Hyun came in second with 11.3% and Phantom’s So Ji Sub was third with 8.3%.

T-ara’s former back-up dancer claims Jiyeon once slapped Hwayoung ....

Among the many that are stepping forward to offer some more insight on the T-ara controversy, is a netizen who claims to be a former T-ara back-up dancer.

The post is going viral online, and in it, the dancer describes in detail of a time Jiyeon had slapped Hwayoung across the face.

It reads:

“I am a member of Hot Chicks, an exclusive dance team for T-ara, and am also working with Davichi, KARA, Brown Eyed Girls, Rainbow Pixie, and more.
It was around the time the Japanese concert took place. We were getting big with our “Lovey Dovey” shuffle dance after Hwayoung was admitted, and getting ready to perform “Roly Poly” for our year-end performance.
During one of the rehearsals, it was a situation where Kwang Soo had jam-packed our schedules, so both the dancers and the members of T-ara who had just completed their day’s work were extremely sensitive and on edge.
Still, everyone was mustering up their last bit of strength and practicing, when Hwayoung messed up a little bit of the choreography.
Seeing this, Jiyeon and Soyeon then sarcastically scoffed at her, saying, ‘Since you already decided to join, you should maybe work a little harder.’
Hwayoung then became a little depressed, but the dance leader mediated the situation and the rehearsal resumed.
But Hwayoung maintained an uncomfortable expression on her face, and Jiyeon who saw this slapped Hwayoung across the cheek and told her that because she had come in late to the already-established group T-ara, she needed to act sensibly and to rehearse without that expression on her face.
The atmosphere became extremely tense, and Hyomin took Jiyeon outside, telling her that she should just be the bigger person.
Even after Hwayoung’s ‘exposure’ incident, everyone was indifferent towards her, rather than comforting.
After the incident, T-ara went on hiatus to prepare for “Day By Day” and because of events with Davichi and Brown Eyed Girls, I could only see T-ara on TV.
Seeing them on the small-screen, I thought that the girls’ relationship with Hwayoung had improved, but these girls who are all grown don’t want to sit by her in the car so they blatantly play rock paper scissors right in front of her face.”

Post like these attesting to the bullying attacks against Hwayoung continue to surface on portal site community boards, causing netizens to become all the more eager to uncover the truth.
