“Sungkyunkwan Scandal” feat. JYJ's Yoochun is a finalist at the “2012 New York TV Festival”


JYJ member Park Yoochun’s debut drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” has been nominated as a finalist in the “2012 New York TV Festival”.

On 6th February, KBS announced that the drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” which was aired last year has been selected as a finalist at the “2012 New York TV Festival” for the mini-series category. The results for the top three awards will be revealed next month, and the actual awards show is to be held on the 17th of April in Las Vegas. Excitement is running high, as “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” could possibly win Korea’s first international award of 2012.

“Sungkyunkwan Scandal” is a drama that has received a lot of love, not only for its exciting plot but also due to the participation of many “pretty boy” actors such as JYJ’s Park Yoochun and Yoo Ah In, which in turn attracted the attention of the female viewers. At the 2011 Seoul Drama Awards, it was also given an award in the Hallyu category, proof that this drama is a leader in the Korean wave.
